Indemnity Health Insurance

Indemnity plans are the traditional health insurance that covers your for hospitalisation expenses up to the sum insured. These plans include:

Why is this medication prescribed?

Fosfomycin is an antibiotic used to treat infections of the urinary tract.
This medication is sometimes prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

How should this medicine be used?

Fosfomycin comes as granules to be mixed with water and then taken by mouth. Do not take the dry granules by mouth without first diluting them in water. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take fosfomycin exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
To prepare a dose, pour the entire contents of a single-dose packet into a glass and add 3 to 4 ounces (90 to 120 milliliters) of cold water. Stir to dissolve. Do not use hot water. The dose should be taken by mouth as soon as it is prepared.

What special precautions should I follow?

Before taking fosfomycin,
tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to fosfomycin or any other drugs.
tell your doctor and pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications you are taking, especially cisapride (Propulsid), metoclopramide (Reglan), and vitamins.
tell your doctor if you have or have ever had asthma or liver disease.
tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking fosfomycin, call your doctor.
What should I do if I forget a dose?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

What should I know about storage and disposal of this medication?

Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom).

What other information should I know?

Keep all appointments with your doctor and the laboratory. Your doctor may order certain lab tests to check your response to fosfomycin

Do not let anyone else take your medication. Your prescription is probably not refillable. If you still have symptoms of infection after you finish the fosfomycin, call your doctor.

It is important for you to keep a written list of all of the prescription and nonprescription (over-the-counter) medicines you are taking, as well as any products such as vitamins, minerals, or other dietary supplements. You should bring this list with you each time you visit a doctor or if you are admitted to a hospital. It is also important information to carry with you in case of emergencies.

It is important to keep all medication out of sight and reach of children as many containers (such as weekly pill minders and those for eye drops, creams, patches, and inhalers) are not child-resistant and young children can open them easily. To protect young children from poisoning, always lock safety caps and immediately place the medication in a safe location – one that is up and away and out of their sight and reach.

What side effects can this medication cause?

Fosfomycin may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
nausea
diarrhea
headache
vaginal itching
runny nose
back pain
If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:
fever
rash
joint pain
swelling of the mouth or tongue
yellowing of the skin or eyes
If you experience a serious side effect, you or your doctor may send a report to the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program online

Apart from the above-mentioned types, some insurance providers offer insurance plans for cancer, personal accident, etc. So, if you want some specific policy, search the website of your insurance provider or contact its customer support.

Accidental loss: The event that constitutes the trigger of a claim should be fortuitous, or at least outside the control of the beneficiary of the insurance. The loss should be pure, in the sense that it results from an event for which there is only the opportunity for cost. Events that contain speculative elements such as ordinary business risks or even purchasing a lottery ticket are generally not considered insurable. Large loss: The size of the loss must be meaningful from the perspective of the insured. Insurance premiums need to cover both the expected cost of losses, plus the cost of issuing and administering the policy, adjusting losses, and supplying the capital needed to reasonably assure that the insurer will be able to pay claims. For small losses, these latter costs may be several times the size of the expected cost of losses. There is hardly any point in paying such costs unless the protection offered has real value to a buyer. how to earn money online for students without investment how to earn money online with google best sites to earn money online in india how to earn money online without investment in mobile how to earn money online in pakistan earn money online free earn money online india earn money online philippines Calculable loss: There are two elements that must be at least estimable, if not formally calculable: the probability of loss, and the attendant cost. Probability of loss is generally an empirical exercise, while cost has more to do with the ability of a reasonable person in possession of a copy of the insurance policy and a proof of loss associated with a claim presented under that policy to make a reasonably definite and objective evaluation of the amount of the loss recoverable as a result of the claim. Limited risk of catastrophically large losses: Insurable losses are ideally independent and non-catastrophic, meaning that the losses do not happen all at once and individual losses are not severe enough to bankrupt the insurer; insurers may prefer to limit their exposure to a loss from a single event to some small portion of their capital base. Capital constrains insurers' ability to sell earthquake insurance as well as wind insurance in hurricane zones. In the United States, the federal government insures flood risk. In commercial fire insurance, it is possible to find single properties whose total exposed value is well in excess of any individual insurer's capital constraint. Such properties are generally shared among several insurers or are insured by a single insurer which syndicates the risk into the reinsurance market.(Bactrim, Septra, others) Fosfomycin (Monurol) Nitrofurantoin (Macrodantin, Macrobid) Cephalexin (Keflex) Ceftriaxone. uti treatment at home uti treatment without antibiotics urinary tract infections (utis) symptoms uti treatment over the counter what is best antibiotic for urinary tract infection? uti symptoms female uti causes how does a woman get a urinary tract infection what is the fastest way to get rid of a bladder infection? what is best antibiotic for urinary tract infection? why do i keep getting urinary tract infections? what are the symptoms of a bladder infection in females urinary tract infections (utis) symptoms how does a man get a urinary tract infection? list five bacteria that can cause urinary tract infection how do you get a uti without being sexually active
